It has an iconic tank case, classic white Roman dial, blued epee hands, sapphire topped crown, and original Cartier Swiss mechanical movement.
Before cost-cutting measures brought about the widespread use of cheaper quartz movements for many wristwatches, Cartier contracted with watch manufacturers to produce mechanical movements designed to last a lifetime. Using traditional watchmaking practices, these gifted craftsmen poured individual attention into each wristwatch. As a result, Cartier wristwatches with mechanical movements are often more sought after by collectors than their quartz counterparts.
Please kindly note that a wider band of the same style that perfectly fills the space between the lugs has been installed on the watch, so please disregard the band shown in the photos.
Our Cartier Tank, which has all of its original parts, is in truly gorgeous condition. It presents as a 9.7 or 9.8 out of 10. Its case presents as mint. The gold plating may have been redone. And its dial presents as mint. On the wrist, it presents like new.
