Today's offering showcases this classic Certified Pre-Owned ladies vermeil Cartier Tank watch with beautiful wine colored dial. It has the traditional Cartier features: An iconic tank case, Cartier numberless dial, gold "epee" hands, and sapphire topped crown.
It also has its original Cartier Swiss-made mechanical movement.
Before cost-cutting measures brought about the widespread use of cheaper quartz movements for many wristwatches, Cartier contracted with watch manufacturers to produce mechanical movements designed to last a lifetime. Using traditional watchmaking practices, these gifted craftsmen poured individual attention into each wristwatch. As a result, Cartier wristwatches with mechanical movements are often more sought after by collectors than their quartz counterparts.
It is all-original down to band and buckle and in better than near mint condition. Our photos don't do it justice.
The case is near mint plus and shows only a few pin pricks of gold wear at the tips of the lugs. It presents beautifully on the wrist. Its dial is original and just short of perfect mint.
One of our watchmakers has disassembled it down to its last screw and cleaned and oiled it installed a correct new mineral glass crystal made for this model making it ready for immediate enjoyment.
It is running extremely strong and true, keeping time on par with a brand new Cartier in our testing position.
